White Team Beats UGA 3-0

The White Team continued their recent spell of good form with a commanding performance against massive rivals, UGA. With three goals scored in the second half and a clean sheet, the boys will certainly be happy moving forward into their next match.

Brooks Buckelew, on his birthday, opened the scoring for the jackets with a sweet strike from outside the box. After having the ball laid off to him for a left-footed shot, the ball pinged the right goalpost and found its way into the net. (1-0)

Oskar Bringle doubled the lead after showing great tenacity inside the box to work an angle. After receiving Brady Coogan's ball into the box, Bringle had one effort blocked, but followed it up with a well-placed header to double the advantage. (2-0)

Not long after, graduating senior, Ricky Husemann, was fouled inside the box after driving towards goal at pace. Husemann converted nicely from 12 yards after striking to the keeper's right to seal a well deserved win.

The White Team have makeup games coming up later this month against Clemson and Furman where they'll look to extend the win streak further.
