White Team beats KSU 6-0

The White Team carried their scoring form from Saturday into their match this morning against Kennesaw State University, winning 6-0.

Jordan Richardson scored the opening goals of the match. The first coming off of a winding run through the defense and slotting near post for 1-0. The second came after fellow winger, Michael Sullivan, whipped a cross into the box for Richardson to volley home from 8 yards out. (2-0)

Striker, Zane Stokesberry, tapped-in from close range after Alex Westin did well to flick the ball over his defender's head, drive to the byline, and deliver an inch-perfect cross for Stokesberry to strike with his right foot. (3-0)

Sullivan made it four after Alex Varghese's perfectly weighted pass into the final third found Sullivan's forward run. The winger did well to fire across the goalkeeper and into the net to make it 4-0.

Richardson completed his hat trick after dispossessing the opposing midfielder and shooting from long range. The effort dipped just below the crossbar to make it 5-0.

Midfielder, Evan Troop, completed the scoring after driving towards goal, skipping past two defenders, and striking with his left foot into the lower right hand corner. (6-0)

The two wins this weekend mark the last of the home games for this season, however, a big matchup against UGA in Athens remains on the calendar after being rescheduled to October 23rd. The White Team will look to carry their winning form into the final match of the regular season and push towards regionals in the coming weeks.
