White Team held 1-1 against UVA in Regional Opener

The White Team began their regional tournament push with a hard fought tie against the University of Virginia. The match ended 1-1 although Georgia Tech was unlucky not to score again given the number of chances they created.

Jordan Richardson scored the only goal after reacting first to a loose ball inside the box. Center back, Brice Diomande, headed the ball towards goal from a corner kick setting up the dangerous situation.

The White Team takes on Appalachian State and the University of Florida in tomorrow’s group stage matches.
