White Team Draw 2-2 Against GSU

The White Team took on Georgia State University this Saturday night at 7:00 pm. While the game ended in a draw, the white team certainly could’ve walked away with a win had they finished off a fraction of their chances on goal.

Center forward, Evan Zappa, opened his account for the white team and broke the deadlock after picking up the ball on the corner of the 18-yard box. The freshman did well from the tight angle as he fired near post for 1-0.

Sophomore, Ricky Husemann, scored the second when he unleashed an unstoppable curling effort on goal. After collecting the ball after a string of connecting passes through the attacking third, Husemann found the top right corner incredible accuracy.

The White Team takes on Georgia Highlands next week in hopes of rebounding from a night of many missed opportunities.
