White Team Beat Emory 1-0 in Season Opener!

The White Team had their first match of the spring season tonight, taking on Emory in front of the home fans.

The fast-paced match boiled on for nearly 40 minutes before the one and only goal was scored. After the team worked well together to force a turnover high up the pitch, striker, Michael Sullivan drove past the left center back and fired a perfect driven cross into Erik Marquez for the game winning tap-in.

While various assaults on goal from the White Team were neutralized by Emory’s defense, Tech kept the pressure on the opposition for the majority of the match. Boasting a solid defensive shape and dangerous attacks towards the Emory back line, the White Team put on an exciting display, earning a 1-0 victory in the home opener.

The White Team takes on Georgia State University next Friday, while the Gold Team is in action this upcoming Sunday against AFU South Elite in the ADASL.
