White Team Win 6-0 over Auburn

In what unfortunately turned out to be the last game of the Regional tournament, the White Team conquered Auburn University 6-0.

Michael Sullivan scored early in the first half from a one-on-one chance with the keeper, slotting through his legs for 1-0.

Shortly after, Jordan Richardson cut inside from the left flank and struck low to the bottom corner to double the lead at 2-0.

Before the end of the half, Makram Chahine fired into an empty net after rounding the goalkeeper from Owen Ribes’ assist.

After halftime, Chahine got his second goal of the day from a strong header into the bottom left corner. Alex Varghese recorded the assist.

Later on, Chahine completed his hat trick when Jordan Richardson’s free kick caused the goalkeeper to deflect the ball into Chahine’s path for a rebound.

Finally, just before the final whistle, Reed Blevins tapped-in from close range after getting on the end of a cross into the box.

The game ended with a massive 6-0 win to Tech, however, other results within the group kept them from advancing to the knockout stages. The game concludes the season for the White Team, however multiple Gold Team games still await.
