White Team Comeback to Win 4-1 vs. GSU

The White Team took on Georgia State University tonight where they soared to a 4-1 comeback win. In front of a big crowd, and commemorating some seniors' last home game, the win was certainly something to celebrate.

After conceding early, about midway through the first half, Jordan Richardson scored from a well-taken free kick that found the bottom left corner to equalize at 1-1. The first half ended with just one a piece.

Soon after the second half kicked off, Trevor Hyman gave the team the lead with an exceptionally well-placed drive. Robert Pierrard fired his shot off of the keeper, allowing Hyman to follow behind and complete the comeback (2-1).

Following the go-ahead goal, Hyman's corner kick found center back, Joe Horth, who's header found the corner of the net to make it three goals to one (3-1).

Finally, after picking up the ball in the opposing team's final third, Richardson played the ball into freshman, Michael Sullivan, who shot past the outstretched goalkeeper for the fourth, and final goal (4-1).

The game ended 4-1 to the home team. Another crucial win for the White Team coming off of a by-week and seeking a spot in the regional playoff. Next Friday is another big match against fierce rivals UGA at home. The huge clash is the last of the regular season home games, so be sure to come out and support!
