White Team Conquer UF 1-0 to Win Championship!
The White Team continued their strong run of form with ANOTHER shutout win. This time against last years tournament winners, the University of Florida. The game ended 1-0, crowning Tech as CHAMPIONS!
The only goal came from midfielder, Jack Fitton, when he skillfully dribbled through the midfield and slotted between the legs of the goalkeeper for 1-0.
While the White Team had numerous chances to score, they seemed to slip away from the attackers, missing at times by mere inches.
Regardless, the team played excellent defense once again, as indicated by the shutout. The team’s defensive energy and organization left UF with nowhere to go, consistently allowing the White Team to pounce on their eventual mistakes.
Overall, the tournament was a fantastic experience both on and off the field. To play five games in three days is already impressive, but to handle tough opposition and unrelenting climate surely makes the championship win absolutely priceless.
The White Team will certainly look to bring their excellent form into the remainder of the season, especially as the Gold Team prepares for its season opener.
