White Team Moves on to Final after 2-0 Shut Out vs. Emory

The White Team put on a commanding display of soccer today as they shutout Emory University 2-0.

In the first half, freshman, Michael Sullivan, opened the scoring with an absolute screamer from the 18-yard box. It was the perfect finish to a 15+ pass buildup.

Later in the second half, with Tech still controlling the game, Evan Troop found Jack Fitton, who surgically cut into the midfield on his left, and unleashed a perfectly driven strike to the lower left corner. The weak footed strike left the goalkeeper with no chance.

Once again, the defensive work from the entire team earned another clean sheet to the weekend, making Tech the best defensive team in the tournament so far with only one goal conceded.

The White Team moves on to the final at 12:30 where they’ll face the winner of Florida State and the University of Florida.
