White Team Secures 3-0 Shutout Over UF-B

The White Team brought their shooting boots to Saturday’s first game against the University of Florida’s B-team. A 3-0 shutout, the direct result.

In the latter stages of the first half, Jordan Richardson and Michael Sullivan worked together to pressure the back line into giving the ball up, eventually resulting in a hard foul to Sullivan, and earning a penalty kick. Sophomore, Jordan Richardson took the kick and sent the keeper the wrong way, giving Tech a 1-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half Richardson and, midfielder, Erik Marquez, linked up play to eventually send fellow sophomore, Ricky Husemann, through on goal, where he slotted bottom corner for 2-0.

Finally, to seal the game at 3-0, an inch-perfect through ball from Jack Fitton allowed Owen Ribes to finish bottom right corner in a 1-v-1 with the goalkeeper.

The White Team kicks off again today at 4pm, taking on the University of Central Florida.
