White Team Secure 2-0 Win over Emory

The White Team closed out their season this morning with a fantastic 2-0 win against rivals, Emory University.

The first half ended goalless in a fast-paced, rainy match, but Tech changed the game in the second half with a fine move towards goal for 1-0.

From a throw-in, Jack Fitton and Makram Chahine linked together in the final third, ending with a shot on goal from Chahine. The keeper made a fingertip save, but only as far as Cody Schoenfuss at the far post for an easy tap-in.

The game continued to progress back and forth until in the final ten minutes, in a counter-attacking move, Jordan Richardson provided a classy finish for 2-0. Josh Hoeft collected the ball on the right flank and with excellent skill, delivered an inch-perfect cross into Richardson. Richardson chested the ball under control and then, with the outside of his right foot, flicked the ball up-and-over the keeper into the back of the net, securing the win late in the game.

The club is extremely proud to announce the White Team's final record of 7W-1D-1L this Spring, scoring 29 goals, while conquering some of the best club teams in the region.

Finally, a special shoutout and congratulations to our graduating seniors as they move on to their next chapter. The leadership and experience you provided the team was invaluable to the team, and we thank you for it.
