White Team Win 3-1 at KSU
The White Team put on a fine display against Kennesaw State University this Saturday afternoon as they netted three times in their 3-1 win. Even with frequent rotation in the lineup due to the upcoming match tomorrow (Sunday, March, 10), as well as team injuries, the White Team maintained a high level of soccer.
Jonathan Leo opened the scoring early in the first half after Jordan Richardson won the ball from the opposing midfielder and slotted Leo through where he found the corner nicely.
Before the end of the first half, Armon Varmeziar found himself fouled inside the 18-yard box, leading to a fine penalty kick from Makram Chahine for 2-0.
Finally, midway through the second half, Trevor Hyman and Jordan Richardson connected through the midfield to set up Richardson's shot that rebounded off the keeper and fell for Hyman to slot home nicely. Hyman's first goal in his first appearance back from injury.
The White Team looks to continue their winning form as they go through spring break, while Gold Team seek promotion with a string of major fixtures in the ADASL.
