Gold Team Cruise to 5-0 Win Over Sting Black

The Gold Team put on a shooting clinic against ADASL opponents, Sting Black, this afternoon with a 5-0 win. The scorching heat seemed no issue to the team as they put on a commanding performance. Robert Pierrard opened the scoring in the first half with a superb first time finish off of Seth Daly’s cross. Daly did excellent to drive down the right flank and deliver an inch-perfect cross for Pierrard to strike on his first touch. The power of the strike left the goalkeeper no chance (1-0). Shortly after, Jonathan Leo found the back of the net with a tidy near post finish after Jordan Richardson delivered a nicely-weighted pass into Leo's stride. Gold Team vs. Sting Black this Sunday

The Gold Team looks to continue its early form with another win over Sting Black in the ADASL this Sunday. The match kicks off at 3pm, on Maynard Jackson High School's football/soccer field. Gold Team Best AFU South Elite 5-1!

The Gold Team had its season opener this afternoon as they took on AFU South Elite away from home. The match was a fantastic showing of attacking play as they thrashed their opponents 5-1. Shortly after kick-off, sophomore, Robert Pierrard opened the scoring only seconds into the match by intercepting a loose ball in the opponents half and slotting past the keeper for 1-0. Joshua Burr doubled the Gold Team’s lead after chasing down the goalkeeper who coughed up the ball for Burr to slot home easily (2-0). Freshman, Evan Troop added to the scoring when he ran onto a nicely chipped through ball and lobbed the keeper in style to make it 3-1. In the second half, Jonathan Leo skillfully dribbled 

White Team held 0-0 at Georgia Southern

The White Team where unfortunate to come away from Georgia Southern with only a draw. Tech generated chance after chance but just couldn’t hit the spot at the end of their relentless assaults on goal. As for now, the team will look to hit the mark next time out, two weeks from now.

White to Face Georgia Southern

The White Team travels away to Georgia Southern this Saturday for a 5pm match. After a series of commanding performances at UF, the team looks to continue its solid run of form. The Gold Team kicks off their season this weekend with an away match against AFC South Elite. The Gold Team look to assert themselves in Division 2 of the ADASL with a strong win against the newly joined ADASL team. White Team Conquer UF 1-0 to Win Championship!

The White Team continued their strong run of form with ANOTHER shutout win. This time against last years tournament winners, the University of Florida. The game ended 1-0, crowning Tech as CHAMPIONS! The only goal came from midfielder, Jack Fitton, when he skillfully dribbled through the midfield and slotted between the legs of the goalkeeper for 1-0. While the White Team had numerous chances to score, they seemed to slip away from the attackers, missing at times by mere inches. Regardless, the team played excellent defense once again, as indicated by the shutout. White Team Moves on to Final after 2-0 Shut Out vs. Emory

The White Team put on a commanding display of soccer today as they shutout Emory University 2-0. In the first half, freshman, Michael Sullivan, opened the scoring with an absolute screamer from the 18-yard box. It was the perfect finish to a 15+ pass buildup. Later in the second half, with Tech still controlling the game, Evan Troop found Jack Fitton, who surgically cut into the midfield on his left, and unleashed a perfectly driven strike to the lower left corner. White Team Rolls Past UCF 3-0

The White Team took on the University of Central Florida this afternoon and replicated their high scoring efficiency from the morning match, securing another 3-0 shutout. The first half ended goalless, however, in the opening stages of the second half, Jordan Richardson crossed into the box where Owen Ribes finished expertly into the bottom corner with his left foot for 1-0. The second goal came when Richardson cut inside from the right flank, passed to midfielder, Jack Fitton, and received his return ball into the penalty area where Richardson finished bottom corner with the outside of his foot (2-0). White Team Secures 3-0 Shutout Over UF-B

The White Team brought their shooting boots to Saturday’s first game against the University of Florida’s B-team. A 3-0 shutout, the direct result. In the latter stages of the first half, Jordan Richardson and Michael Sullivan worked together to pressure the back line into giving the ball up, eventually resulting in a hard foul to Sullivan, and earning a penalty kick. Sophomore, Jordan Richardson took the kick and sent the keeper the wrong way, giving Tech a 1-0 lead into halftime. In the second half Richardson and, midfielder, Erik Marquez, linked up play to eventually send fellow sophomore, Ricky Husemann, through on goal, where he slotted bottom corner for 2-0. White Team Held 1-1 Against FSU

The White Team took on Florida State University tonight in Gainesville, FL but were held to a point a piece after the final whistle. Michael Sullivan scored the only goal after getting on the end of Paul Kondratyev’s driven pass inside the 18-yard box. The game was back and forth at times but the game seemed to be taken out of the players hands due to poor refereeing in the second half. Thus the team remains searching for its first three points in the group stages of the tournament. The White Team takes on the University of Florida’s B-team tomorrow morning in search of a commanding win.

White Team Beats Mercer 5-2

The White Team traveled to play Mercer University this afternoon in heat touching 100°F during the match. While the heat was certainly a factor for both teams, Tech outlasted their opponents for a 5-2 win. Jordan Richardson scored the first goal after cutting inside his defender on the left flank and firing to the top right corner for 1-0. Newly joined freshman, Michael Sullivan, registered a classy hat trick in his second appearance for the club. The White Team play their second game of the weekend on Sunday against Mercer University. The match kicks off at home once again but at 8:30am rather than at night. The team will be looking to rebound from their draw at home to Emory. White Team Held to 1-1 Draw vs. Emory

The White Team were unfortunate to draw 1-1 in Friday night's clash verses rivals Emory University. The game was back and forth through the first 20 or so minutes, but afterwards, Tech dominated ball possession and launched attack after attack at the opposition. After conceding early, Tech found the back of the net to equalize in the second half. Erik Marquez volleyed a loose ball past the goalkeeper's outstretched arm to level things at 1-1. The game continued to be fast paced and action packed with chances but the scoreline remained 1-1 to the final whistle. The White Team looks to rebound with a commanding win over Mercer on this upcoming Sunday morning.

The White Team takes on Emory University Friday night at 8:30pm and look to kick off the season with a victory. Emory was the last game of the Spring season where the White Team bested their opponents in a 2-0 shutout.
