White Team Secure 2-0 Win over Emory

The White Team closed out their season this morning with a fantastic 2-0 win against rivals, Emory University. The first half ended goalless in a fast-paced, rainy match, but Tech changed the game in the second half with a fine move towards goal for 1-0. From a throw-in, Jack Fitton and Makram Chahine linked together in the final third, ending with a shot on goal from Chahine. The keeper made a fingertip save, but only as far as Cody Schoenfuss at the far post for an easy tap-in. Emory Game Rescheduled

As previously warned about, the White Team fixture against Emory University originally scheduled for today has been moved to Saturday, April 20, at 10am. The game was also originally scheduled to be away, however, due to field availability, the match has become a home game and will kick off from Roe Stamps Field next to the CRC.

White Team to Face Emory

The White Team are in action this coming Friday night against Emory University away from home. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30pm, however, the match could be moved due to inclement weather. In which case, the match would be played Saturday at a time to be determined. White Team Roll Past UNG in 9-2 Win

The White Team enjoyed their shooting opportunities in tonight's 9-2 win over the University of North Georgia. Playing with freedom and fluidity in the attack, the goals followed naturally, scoring 9 times. Josh Hoeft had himself a fantastic night out, netting three times for his hat trick. Two skillful dribbles in the box for two, and a simple tap-in for the third. Ali Talaksi opened the scoring early in the first half with a wonderful curling effort from a free kick. The Gold Team plays their final ADASL match of the season this upcoming Sunday at 11am. The match is away against HCU Elite at North Mt. Carmel Park in McDonough, GA. While the Gold Team has missed promotion this season by only a handful of points (Only the top two teams are promoted), the team will look to show their class once again to finish strong and take the 3 points up for grabs. A win would secure 3rd place in the D2 league of the ADASL. White Team 0-2 UGA

The White Team were unfortunate to lose 0-2 to rival school, Georgia, in the championship match of the Classic City Cup. The team fought extremely hard in their fifth game of the weekend, but just ran out of gas in the final moments. The White Team is scheduled to play the Bulldogs again this upcoming Friday.

White Team Conquer Virginia Tech 3-0

The White Team’s semi-final match against Virginia Tech kicked off Tech’s chase for the cup. It was Makram Chahine’s day out as he netted a hat trick in brilliant fashion. Beginning with a beautifully placed header, Chahine opened his tournament scoring account by meeting Jack Fitton’s well-placed cross for 1-0. For the second, Jordan Richardson darted down the line taking on his man one-on-one and was awarded a penalty kick after being fouled in the box. Chahine stayed cool from the spot and slotted home nicely for 2-0. White Team Scrape Past GSU 3-2

The White Team came out on top in a five-goal thriller versus Georgia State University in their second game of the day. The win secures a spot in the semi-final game tomorrow, April 7th. Ali Talaksi scored the opening goal with a brilliant drive down the left flank, beating his man, and then providing a classy, curling finish for 1-0. Jonathan Leo met Talaksi's cross for the White Team's second goal as he tapped in to give us the lead once again, 2-1. The White Team fought hard but drew 1-1 with the University of South Carolina this morning. Freshman, Jordan Richardson scored the only goal beating his man one-on-one in the wide areas and then firing across the goalkeeper for the early lead. The White Team play Georgia State later today at 2pm.

White Team Outlast GSU in 2-1 Clash

The White Team kicked off the Classic City Cup in Athens, GA with a crucial win over Georgia Southern University. The win secures three points as the team continues in the group stage. Seth Daly opened up the scoring with a towering header from Ali Talaksi's whipped in corner kick. Then Nick Rath followed up in the second half with a well taken one-on-one chance against the goalkeeper. The team's defensive display was top notch against the opposing attackers, Jose Simao making a handful of crucial saves and the back line holding strong throughout the match. The White Team wake up early tomorrow morning to play the University of South Carolina at 10am and then Georgia State University at 2pm.
